Reinforcing Poems: A Curation

For a while now, I’ve been collecting heartwarming poems that affirm our existence. It all started with Poem #1 in this list. It gave me a glint of hope and then, as and when, I came across poems that reinforced the magic of being alive, I’ve collected them in a Twitter thread. For long, I wondered if I needed a Substack, but even now, after all these years, I need reminding that my blog is enough to store all treasures and woes. Here’s an ongoing list of poems that will make you less dashed about existence. I hope you enjoy it.

1. Sometimes by Sheenagh Pugh
2. A Brief for the Defense by Jack Gilbert
3. We are Called to Rise by Laura McBride
4. Everything is Going to Be Alright by Derek Mahon
5. Everything is Waiting for You by David Whyte
6. In the Meantime by Tom Hirons
7. Don’t Hesitate by Mary Oliver
8. Love after Love by Derek Walcott
9. An Epilogue by John Masefield

Hopefully, this is an ongoing list and I will add to this curation as and when I stumble into a poem while travelling the gullies of the Web.
