Any Prince to Any Princess

A friend shared this poem with me. I think this is a superb take on fairytales-the ones that we've left far behind. Here's to revision... *** Any Prince to Any Princess ~ by Adrian Henri August is coming and the goose, I’m afraid, is getting fat. There have been no golden eggs for some months... Unlikely Friendships

I've been meaning to write about the driver of my office bus for a long time now. He deserves a mention somewhere, and since I have a blog, I should mention him here. I've been traveling by the office bus for over 2 years now. The driver who I'm mentioning here was recruited (I guess)... Continue Reading →

My Equine Fondness

The horse has been my favourite animal for as long as I can remember. I simply love this animal. My current wallpaper theme is that of horses. My absolute favourite is this image, and it makes me very, very happy! :-) The 'Horses' theme for Windows 7 can be downloaded here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/A/D/1AD70045-D933-4ABA-BC84-84C6F7165F38/Horses.themepack

Lackadaisical Living

Walking down least resistance, just because I could. Insipid storytelling. Sporadic laughs at sordid events. Insincere attempts unyielding. No surprises at consequence. Driving down to the city, because it's a Monday... Continue Reading →

In My Veins

The song touched a chord in me (other than the obvious one) and I Googled it. The song is In My Veins by Andrew Belle. Although, it isn't one... Continue Reading →

Trying

Tries. Hundreds of them. Some result in winning, some in spirit-crushing losing and rancid hopes that lie on your wooden table in the verandah. Some let you hair fall on your dirt-smeared forehead while some bring you up to the cliff of the mountains– in your head. Some infuse in you the smoke of the... Continue Reading →

A little cheese, please?

I saw Ishaqzaade the previous weekend. Contrary to the comic strip exploits that ripped apart the insides of the movie, I quite liked it. Yes, I did. It did have a wayward storyline, but it managed to keep me waiting for what happened next. Although I did know, that the hero and heroine die in... Continue Reading →

Somewhere to go to…

Long, long ago, when I didn't even know what a sanctuary meant, I decided to make a house for myself. One that would have all those things that I love and all the material things I rightly owned. It was never a juvenile dream, nor was it a childhood fantasy. It has been a solid... Continue Reading →
