I’m puzzled about it
At the thought of my book
And how my journey would appear
When life lets me off the hook?
I’m curious about them
The old dreams that I have
How will you transcribe them
On fresh pages of a notepad?
I’m wondering about those
People I’ve grown up beside
How will you describe them
When you haven’t seen what I’ve?
I’m wondering about my stories
some of which I want to hide
How can you be honest with them
When I can’t tell you my own lies?
So, I’d rather shy away
When I’m let off the hook
And one day you’d come across
My version of my life’s book.
